Riki Alarm WR09-15 Natural [WR09-15 NT]

Description:
This simple alarm clock was designed by the pioneer of modern Japanese design, Riki Watanabe. Paired with a tiny night light and a powerful alarm sound, this clock will wake you up and keep you on track throughout your day. The minimalist wooden frame with its simple and modern face gives this clock an elegant appearance fitting many different interiors. The clock has a sweeping second hand and there is no ticking sound.

The clock's wooden frame is made from a natural material so there will be variation in the grain.

History: 
Riki Watanabe (1911-2013) was a pioneer of modern Japanese design. Riki helped establish the Japan Industrial Designers’ Association and received many awards including the Milan Triennale Exhibition Gold Award, the Mainichi Design Award, and the Japanese Medal of Honor with purple ribbon awarded by the Government of Japan during his 102 years of life. Today, Riki is known for many of his award winning designs including furniture, tableware, clocks and even designed the interior of hotels. His series of wall clocks and desk clocks are some of the most frequently reproduced in the world today.

Care Instructions:
Do not wash with any chemical agents. Dust and wipe with a dry cloth as needed. The wood frame will naturally patina with age, and constant contact with direct sunlight may cause the wood to darken over time.

 

Returns must be made within 2 weeks in original, unused condition with all packaging for either 1. Store credit for the full amount or 2. Refund - minus a 20% restocking fee.  Tortoise does not cover the cost of return shipping or the cost of re-shipping an exchange, and the cost of shipping for returns and exchanges is the responsibility of the customer.
