The Story

Description:
A colaboration between Maho Motoyama and Fukunaga paper company. From a single flat template, you assemble a colorful 3D paper sculpture that fits in the palm of your hand. What begins as a graphic surface gradually becomes volume, structure, and form.

Once complete, the piece functions as both object and container. Display it as a sculptural accent, or use it to hold small essentials like a pen or paperclips.

The experience is part of the design. Enjoy the act of building as much as the finished form. Requires paper glue, not included.

Measurements:
Palm-sized
Blue: 3.15 in L x 3.15 in W x 2 in H
Orange: 4.4 in L x 3.8 in W x 1.9 in H
Gray: 3.4 in L x 3.4 in W x 3.4 in H
Green: 3.4 in L x 2.9 in W x 2.9 in H

History:
Maho Motoyama is a Tokyo-born, Los Angeles-based designer and artist who specializes in intricate papercraft and structural design. She is known for transforming single sheets of paper into complex, geometric, and functional boxes. Her work often explores the concept of "awai," the space between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms, and frequently incorporates advanced paper-folding techniques.

Colored paper with guided perforations.

All stationary items are final sale.
